1952 Schwinn New World 1952 Schwinn New World, Serial Number G16803. The frame is in original black paint, with the typical scratches in a 50+ year old bike, with a very good "Schwinn New World" decal on the downtube and a pretty good "top hat" decal on the seat mast. The New World headbadge is in excellent condition. The fenders and hockey-stick chainguard (which is an appropriate part for many high-end pre-war Schwinn balloon-tire bikes!) have been repainted, and the fenders have some minor dings. The rear hub is a single speed New Departure. Rims are rusty. Original Schwinn grips. Nice original Schwinn stem in silver paint. Wald pedals. The mattress saddle is original, and although the oil cloth cover is shot, the padding is in excellent condition, and will recover easily. Seat still has the original Schwinn badge on the back. Needs new 26 inch X 1 and 3 eighth "touring" style tires.

1901 - 1910 Sunbeam Newill 3 speed hub Patented 1905.
Shows the r.h. side with changer mechanism and sprocket. Note that the "silent freewheel" is external to the hub and integral with the sprocket - not sure if it would be interchangeable with Sunbeam single-speed freewheels. The fairing on the top of the changer mechanism suggests this is the 1909 model, as in the 1907 version the changer wire is exposed beyond the pulley wheel and the metal sleeve is cylindrical.
Patent no GB190515579

1951 Schwinn Panther This is a picture of my friends beautiful 1951 Schwinn Panther girls bike. The serial number is H15891 and it is completely original, except there is no chain. This was his sisters bike and was purchased new, way back when. He recently dug the bike out of the storage shed and asked his sister about it. She said he could have it if he wanted it! I still have a lot to learn about this bike so I can describe it properly. Any information about this bike would be great! THANKS! Oh yeah, I took these pictures outside on a nice sunny day with a Kodak DC3400 digital camera with no flash. Also, this bike has spent its life in Eastern Washington state where it is very dry. There is very little rust on our old cars and bikes! Sincerely, J. Warren
