I purchased a 1974 Columbia Sport 3-speed from a garage sale for $5 and restored it. I repainted the frame replaced the seat to a leather one and also put leather grips on it. Mine came with chromed fenders, which were in great condition. Just in need of polish. I had a great deal of difficulty finding tiers. The wheels are size 26 special about 1/8" too small for the regular 26 tires. all in all the bike is now worth about $250 this takes in account parts and labour
An unrestored one in great condition, like mine was in, would be around $60-$80

I found a 1973 Columbia Sport III exactly like the one in the picture for $15 at a garage sale. I was able to ride it home, it was in great condition. I am working on cleaning it up, but it is an awesome bike.
I also have one in fair condition. Needs some TLC and it has all it's original parts. It's color is orange! I have pictures and I have it posted on eBay.

I have a 1973 Columbia Sports III- female, all original, (including the rotted tires), deep red in color; two small rust spots ~smaller than my littlest fingernail. A few thin scratches run thru detail. Missing all lights though.

I found one in a cave. Well, it was in a storage cave for a hospital I work for. I was transporting them from one place to another for about a year in prep for a bike drive for children. The LAST day I had to move them, the lady in charge showed up when I told her about my fascination with the bike. I had recently bought a mountain bike because i could find one like THAT one, I asked if she'd trade, she obliged, I WIN! Now I ride it to work every, and about to paint it for my girlfriend, I just bought a Nirve Wilshire which is better for me, but the 1973 CS3 started it all.
I have also a columbia sport3 idont know what year is it but it has the original paint id would like to know how much does it cost if you know please text 8184484257
I have two mustard and chrome cs3's that have a kit attached between them that allows two riders at once. It has a basket on the back between them. I have no idea what it is worth but it gets a lot of stares. We have a lot of fun riding it to the grocery store in our small town.\
