Raleigh D1, dated 1980 This bike was purchased as a gift for my Dad's retirement in early 1982 after sitting on a shelf in the bike shop for several months. I personally removed the bike from the box and assembled it, so I know that the only things not original are my Dad's initials on the top tube near the headset. It was the last Raleigh Tourist sold at that store. (And perhaps the last imported English D-1 in the U.S.)

HERE IS A PHOTO OF AN ORGINAL APRIL ~64 STING-RAY WHICH WAS PURCHASED AT AN ESTATE SALE IN MINNESOTA FOR $50.00. EVERTHING WAS ORGINAL INCLUDING THE HARD TO FIND 36 SPOKE REAR WHEEL. THIS BIKE WAS PURCHASED FROM ME BY A COLLECTOR IN CALIFORNIA AND SAID IT WAS IN 9 - 9 1/2 CONDITON. WISH I STILL HAD IT! :-(
