SCHWINN STREAMLINER TANK BICYCLE. I~M GUESSING IT~S LATE-50~S, EARLY-60~S MODEL. I~M NOT SURE, IF YOU ARE, LET ME KNOW THE YEAR. 26" TIRES, RIDES NICE. I BELIEVE THE TANK ON IT IS AFTER-MARKET, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS ALL ORIGINAL. PAINT NOT PERFECT, BUT ALL ORIGINAL, CHROME LOOKS GOOD, TOO.

1948 Spiegel Airman
(We did not write the comments which accompany each picture - Vinny)
Bicycle Type: Balloon Tire Bike
I PURCHASED THIS SPIEGEL AIRMAN USED IN 1949. MODEL # 51T2577, SERIAL # A 052882. THESE NUMBERS LOCATED ON THE BOTTOM OF CRANK HOUSING. TIRE SIZE 26 X 2.125. COASTER BRAKE IS NEW DEPARTURE MODEL D. DUAL COIL SPRINGERS AND SERIAL # FIT INTO THE MONARK SUPER DELUXE REALM. I?M ASSUMING THAT MONARK BUILT THIS BIKE FOR SPIEGEL PROBABLY IN 1948. COLOR IS MAROON WITH CRèME TRIM. REAR CARRIER DISAPPEARED YEARS AGO. PAINT IS IN BAD SHAPE. THE BACK ¼ OF THE FRONT FENDER AND THE TOP MOST PART OF THE REAR FENDER IS TOTAL RUST. CHROME ON WHEELS MIGHT POSSIBLY BE SAVED BUT CHROME ON THE GOOSENECK AND 1/3 OF THE HANDLEBAR IS TOTALLY GONE. THE MAIN FORK WAS REPLACED IN THE EARLY 60?S BUT NEVER FINISH PAINTED. THE SEAT HAS ONE RUB THRU BUT PROBABLY ACCEPTABLE. I CAN?T TELL IF THE TRIM IS SILK SCREENED OR JUST PAINTED. IT SURE DOESN?T LOOK LIKE DECALS. BECAUSE OF THE CONDITION OF PAINT AND CHROME I?M CONSIDERING RESTORING. WOULD THAT BE A DUMB MOVE? MY E-MAIL IS RKELLY26@FRONTIERNET.NET

Bicycle Type: Lightweight
HEAD LUGS AND FORK CROWN VIEW OF LATE 1958 OR EARLY 1959 CAPO "MODELL CAMPAGNOLO," SERIAL NUMBER 40324, REPAINTED BY CYCLART. ALTHOUGH THE PAINT SCHEME WAS COPIED FROM AN ORIGINAL 1960 CAPO, THE METALLIC RED HERE IS A BIT RICHER THAN THE ORIGINAL CANDY RED. (BY THE WAY, THE AUSTRIAN FLAG COMPRISES THREE BROAD HORIZONTAL STRIPES, IN A RED-WHITE-RED PATTERN.) THE ORIGINAL WEINMANN 999 CENTERPULL BRAKE CALIPERS AND CAMPAG. DOWNTUBE SHIFT LEVERS ARE BEING USED IN THE RESTORATION/UPDATE.

1980 Huffy Aerowind
(We did not write the comments which accompany each picture - Vinny)
Bicycle Type: Lightweight
EARLY 1980~S HUFFY AEROWIND. HAS SHIMANO AX COMPONENTS, THOUGH NOT THE MODELS YOU SEE ON HIGHER END BIKES. THE BRAKES ARE SHIMANO AX PARAPUL~S WHICH IS A CENTER PULL BRAKING SYSTEM. THREE PIECE SHIMANO CRANKS, STEEL RIMS, AND 1" X 1 3/8" GUMWALL TIRES. THE HANDLEBAR WRAP AND SEAT ARE NOT ORIGINAL. WRAP WAS TAN COTTON, AND SEAT WAS GREY SUEDE(AVOCET MADE IN ITALY) THE SEAT WAS IN AS PRISTINE SHAPE AS THE BIKE WAS, SO I DIDN~T WANT TO LEAVE IT ON THE BIKE OF COURSE. IT WAS A STROKE OF LUCK EVEN FINDING A HUFFY ROAD BIKE IN THIS SHAPE, MUCH LESS ONE THAT IS 20+ YEARS OLD:-) HOPE YOU ENJOY IT.
