Bicycle Type: Balloon Tire Bike
MY 1950S HUFFY DIAL-A-RIDE BICYCLE. THEY CALL IT THAT BECAUSE YOU CAN TIGHTEN OR LOSEN THE FRONT SPRING TO GIVE YOU A MORE COMFORTABLE RIDE USING THE KNOB ON TOP OF THE SPRING. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE LIKE THIS BEFORE AND THIS WILL BE A FUN RESTORATION FOR ME. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS PICTURES OF THIS MODEL BECAUSE THE HEADLIGHT IS MISSING AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE CORRECT ONE LOOKS LIKE SO I CAN OBTAIN ONE. DOES ANYBODY HAVE THE CORRECT FENDER LIGHT THAT GOES WITH THIS MODEL FOR SALE? CALL ME OR WRITE ME AT: EUGENE PATE 216-394-1167 GENEPATE@SBCGLOBAL.NET

1974 Hi Wheeler
(We did not write the comments which accompany each picture - Vinny)
Bicycle Type: Hi-Wheeler
I HAVE WHAT I BELIVE TO BE A REPRODUCTION OF A HIGHWHEELER BICYCLE. THE FRONT TIRE IS 28X1.5 THE BACK TIRE IS 16X1.5. THE SEAT IS LEATHER WITH SPRINGS AND SAYS TROXEL THE PEDAL SAYS MADE IN USA K10491. THE FRAME HAS HOOKS LIKE IT WAS TAKEN FROM A BICYCLE WITH HANDEL BRAKES AND A WIRE TO THE BACK TIRE. BUT THERE ARE NO BREAKS AT ALL. IT IS IN GREAT SHAPE. I RECIVED IT FROM MY LANDLORD WHO IS 75 YEARS OLD AND HE HAS OWNED IT FOR MANY YEARS. HE WILL NOT GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION ON IT HE SAID I WOULD FIGURE IT OUT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW OLD IT IS WHAT IT IS CALLED WHERE IT WAS MADE AND HOW MUCH IT IS WORTH. I DID SOME REASERCH BUT HAVE NOT GOT ANYWHERE FAST. I AM FROM CLEVELAND OHIO AND SO WAS MY LANDLORD SO I THOUGHT MABEY IT MIGHT BE MADE BY LOWELL KENNEDY FROM DEFIANCE OHIO WHO MADE REPRODUCTIONS IN 1974 BUT I DON~T KNOW. I HAVEN~T BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANY BIKE THAT LOOKED LIKE IT. PLEASE HELP!!??!! THE PHOTO WAS TAKEN BY MYSELF. VWCHAOS2@AOL.COM
