Bicycle Type: Safety
I JUST PICKED UP THIS HARTFORD AND KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT IT. THE HEAD BADGE READS "HARTFORD WESTFIELD MFG.CO. WESTFIELD,MASS.U.S.A." WITH A PICTURE OF AN ELK IN THE FOREST IN THE MIDDLE. UNDER THE CRANK IT READS " D 5 2 7 (A 2 SIDEWAYS) 0 4 ". IT~S SUPPOSED TO HAVE TENSIONER SCREWS IN THE REAR. THE FRONT SPROKET IS A 26 TOOTH SPROKET (SKIP TOOTH). IT USES A "PULL-THROUGH" TYPE FRONT HUB (LIKE A MOTORCYCLE HUB). I BELIEVE IT IS IN THE 1890~S - 1920~S...?
Did you know bicycles can actually be ridden in street clothes? How much is your bicycle worth? What is the history of your bike?
