1967 Raleigh Winkie We have obtained a trike that my husband used to ride as a youngster in England, and then here in the States. It had Raleigh written all over it, and the model name appears to be "Winkie". Not sure of the date of manufacture and cannot find the serial number. Have had no luck in finding anything on the rear hub. We are interested in restoring this tricycle for our son, but would like to obtain any information we can before doing so. Can you help with a useful website, or perhaps a book? Can you tell me where we might find the serial number? Thanks

1911 - 1920 Shapleigh Wonder
1911 - 1920 Shapleigh Wonder This bike is a 1911 Shapleigh Hardware ~Wonder~. I have yet to see another one of these, and I hope I will see one. This bike is original, not restored, with the exeption of grips, rims, tires, and spokes. I am not sure who made it, all I know is that it was sold through Shapleigh Hardware Co. of St. Louis Missouri.

1957 Western Flyer X-53
1957 Western Flyer X-53 This bike has been partially repainted
but is all original parts. I will probably
do some more work on paint job as I am
not happy with it. This is how I purchased
the bike but the space age look is great
and it rides nice.
