1953 Huffy Dial-A-Ride My 1950s Huffy Dial-A-Ride Bicycle. They call it that because you can tighten or losen the front spring to give you a more comfortable ride using the knob on top of the spring. I have never seen one like this before and this will be a fun restoration for me. I would like to know if anyone else has pictures of this model because the headlight is missing and I want to know what the correct one looks like so I can obtain one. Does anybody have the correct fender light that goes with this model for sale? call me or write me at: Eugene genepate

(Click for full photo)

1980 Raleigh DL-1 Raleigh DL1, dated 1980 This bike was purchased as a gift for my Dad~s retirement in early 1982 after sitting on a shelf in the bike shop for several months. I personally removed the bike from the box and assembled it, so I know that the only things not original are my Dad~s initials on the top tube near the headset. It was the last Raleigh Tourist sold at that store. (And perhaps the last imported English DL-1 in the U.S.) Comments and questions welcome: Compotato

1968 Huffy Eldorado 1968 Huffy Eldorado, women~s frame, jet on front fender, built-in light in tank, SN# 8H782120. Year based on Old Road~s Huffy dating page and similarity to 1965 Silver Jet in this photo database. More info. welcome here: bikes@msu.edu

My aunt bought the bike through the old grocery store stamp program that ran in the 60s--you got green stamps at stores like Chatham and took them to a redemption center to get stuff like lamps, books and bikes. (If this doesn~t sound familiar, ask your parents or grandparents or anyone over the age of 50.) She rode it in the neighborhood, and it had a front handlebar basket that she used when she would ride up to the corner store to get milk or other goodies
