1987 Schwinn Ontare This is my 1988 Schwinn Ontare which I have restored. It is still needed the original decals, the brakeset is Suntour Sprint like the rest of the componets. It originally came with Royal Compe II brakes which I have but are not mounted. Schwinns first aluminum built bicycle offered in 1988, they were a little late in offering an aluninum lightweight bicycle to the market but it was worth the wait. I~m the original owner of this Ontare.
Did you paint it yourself? I just found one and would like to improve the paint. It is chipped and scraped everywhere, though from 12 feet away it looks pretty nice. I'm Mark. My cell 623 221 4982 Thanx
