    I owned one of these. My father was on the Board of Directors of Mattel and gave it to me for my 10th birthday. It was always the gnarliest "sting ray" around.

    I am now 55, when I was about 12 (1966 +-) I walked out of my bedroom on Christmas morning to see a shiney new Mattel Stallion next to our tree. IT WAS THE BEST GIFT I CAN EVER REMEMBER !! Seeing this photo brought back so many memories. One morning I woke up to a knocking on the front door, it was a new kid who was just moving into the neighborhood. He pointed at my Stallion in the front yard and asked "why did I steal his bike ?" ....come to find out he had a stallion just like mine but his dad had not unloaded it from the moving truck yet. We became the best of friends.

    Just found a 1964 Mattel Stallion in a machine shed rafters-Model #M6-PW00248! The only thing that it does not have are tires. Otherwise, just dirty and chrome a little rusted, but not bad! Has all original parts. How do I find a value of such bike?

    I have been trying to remember the name of this bike for a long time. This was my favorite bike of all. It was great for jumping curbs and was really fast. I had a flashback and remebered the name today and did the search only to find this picture and post. What a great memory and a relief of knowing the name again.

    I just picked up a Mattel Stallion from a man who was cleaning out his Basement $15, found this site in my sreach to find out more about it. Lucky me. Guess I best start clean it up, it has a nice peppering of rust, but looks good and complete. Is rubber block peddles original to this bike?

    I had one of these back in the day. To me, it was the first "mountain bike" with its rear shocks, knobby tires and rugged frame. Spent a lot of time in the mud with this bike. A lot more fun than, what we called back then, an "English Bicycle", i.e., the drop handlebar, light frame , racing bike.

    Awesome!I had this exact model in 1970.I was the coolest,even against the Schwinn crowd with their their five speed bananas.Mine had a red and a blue set of Goodyear crazy wheels tires.

    I also have a stallion bike in my attic. I got it for Christmas when I was 8 or 9. I'm now 50, haven't looked at it in years but I remember it was in pretty good shape. If interested in buying call my cell 610-213-2528 Frank--Pa.
